“I just wanted to thank you for the brilliant night on Wednesday.  It was extremely well organised and run, and most informative.  I was very impressed with the McRae staff in attendance on the night and their excellent assistance to all us girls !  You certainly deserve a vote of thanks getting this course to Wodonga.  THANK YOU.” Kind regards Glen.

“May I take this opportunity to sincerely thank you and Melinda for this great community initiative. The workshop was extremely well run and everyone present was made to feel very welcome. Congratulations to the wonderful young men who presented each base. THEY WERE JUST AWESOME!

I learned so much on the night including small things such as:

·         Don’t mix different coloured coolants

·         Tyres wear out after 5 - 7 years even if they still have plenty of tread left on them

·         Check the oil when the car is cold every week (Ooops! That is my first job for Saturday)

·         That shock absorbers are different to springs.

·         That it’s OK to hose the black dust (that comes from the brake pads) off my wheels

·         How to correctly inflate my tyres so the air goes in and stays in.

Of course I had never heard of tyre tread wear indicators – How did I ever get to this age and not know about these things???? I don’t think I am ready to give up my gold RACQ membership just yet but I am really thrilled that I attended the workshop. Once again thank you.” Cecily

“Yesterday morning I was taking my son to school and I had a flat tyre. Thanks to you guys I didn't panic, but calmly went through the process you taught me.  I managed to change my tire with no problem and felt so empowered. You're doing amazing work! Thanks you... thank you... thank you.” Lynne

“I attended the workshop in Toowoomba. I really enjoyed it, it was so well organised and the mechanics were full of knowledge and were very courteous. I walked in there knowing where my key goes and petrol of course, came out knowing how to lift a spare tyre correctly out of car, how to change a tyre , on a flat road, use a jack, check my tyre pressure I even know where the sticker that tells me is, how to jump start my car, change my wipers, how to smash my windscreen if needed and how to cut a seatbelt, how to use coolants, knowing the appropriate petrol to put into my car, not to let my car get under a 1/4 of  a tank in fuel, how to stay safe on the road travelling alone . Thank you so much I have told all my nursing friends about this fabulous workshop when is the next one on  please? Job well done” Regards Loredana

“I attended WOW last night at Pennant Hills Hyundai, I had no idea what to expect, but was I in for a surprise. I took my 87 year old mother who was treated with such consideration of her age. She was escorted from each workshop and staff would sit down with her and chat when she was tired.

The content of each workshop was presented clearly and in "women's" language ( no unintelligible jargon). The gift pack of an emergency kit which every attendant was given is compact and full of things I would never have thought of. I only wish these workshops had been offered when I started out driving over 30 years ago.

Thank you so much WOW and especially Pennant Hills Hyundai.” Rosemary

“I just attended one of your WOW events! Loved it! I learnt such a lot about my car and how to look after it! The night was well presented in a fun safe environment! The information was easy to understand and I would like to thank Hyundai and Jacqui for a fantastic fun and informative night. I hope you will hold more of these nights in our area so I can recommend it for my friends and family. Thank you again” Leonie

"I wish to thank you, your team, and Hyundai, for a great night. As my daughter had recently earned her P Plate licence and has since purchased her own vehicle, I registered with my daughter in mind. During the evening, Shanee was given the opportunity to actually check an oil gauge and change a tyre. I also noticed she took a few notes! If ever she is placed in a position of need to change a tyre, I am sure her memory will serve her well - both practically and safely. Again, thank you. I have no hesitation in recommending your services to colleagues and friends. Kindest regards” Katrina

"I just want to thank all you ladies for having such a wonderful idea and implementing it! What a great advantage and confidence I have now doing long trips, I average about 1,300-1,500km’s per week and never had anyone to show me all the things I learnt at the Women on Wheels night in Arncliffe recently. I have an 11 year old daughter and have now shown her how to change a tyre as well and will bring her with me to the next session. Once again, it is very appreciated and an absolutely wonderful service to your community. I cannot believe it is not essential for all drivers to have this course done!" Kind Regards, Angela

"Thanks for organising such an informative evening at Suttons Arncliffe. The service staff were very patient with all our questions and spoke on a level that was easy to understand. Seeing the service section was an enlightening experience. I now know the meaning of some of the terminology used in services which will arm me with knowledge to question/query at service time. Supper was yummy and the breakdown kit was an unexpected bonus! Just hope I won't get much use of it, but at least I know now how to use it properly if the need arises! Thanks again and congratulations on this much needed service for women. I will certainly recommend the event to other women." Regards J. Atherton

"I am writing to tell you that I really enjoyed the recent course I attended.

My sons are all mechanics (they live interstate now) & they were pleased to see me attend the course. I already know my way around a motor vehicle, in general terms, but I still learnt some valuable skills at your course. I also appreciated the section on "Personal safety" as I am originally from a country area, where there is less crime & have found the city a little daunting at times.

It is a shame these courses can't be extended into regional Australia, as help in a breakdown situation can be a long time coming if you are on a country road, although I think women in country areas tend to be a little more "car aware" than city women. I am amazed at the number of women who drive a vehicle & don't know how it really works...... perhaps that should be a part of the licence tests.

Anyway, the course was GREAT & I hope it continues for other women to get the same benefits that I received. Oh, I was also VERY impressed with the Accident/Emergency Kit I received, thank you." Regards, Lynne E
